What To Bring

Here is a packing list of what to bring. We encourage you to include this in with your camper's luggage so he/she will bring home what they brought to camp. Please read the new policy on appropriate clothing on the other side.

  •  Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket(s). (Plastic or rubber sheet if camper wets bed)

  • Pillow & pillowcase

  • Jacket and/or sweatshirt(s)

  • Raincoat (and umbrella- optional)

  • Shorts (at least 3.5" inseam)

  • Long pants

  • T-shirts

  • PJs (and robe - optional)

  • One change of underwear for each day

  • Modest swimsuit and cover-up to wear to & from beach (no bare-midriff or revealing one-piece swim suits for girls over age 9; no "Speedo" / bikini-style swimsuits for males)

  • Beach Towel

  • Socks (and extra socks)

  • Comfortable shoes with support- 2 pairs (We recommend you bring a pair you can get wet on purpose)

  • Towel & washcloth, comb and/or brush, toothbrush & toothpaste, shampoo, soap, small bag to carry stuff for bathhouse

  • Insect repellent (non-aerosol)

  • Sunscreen (recommended)

  • Bag for dirty clothes
    o Pen/pencil & paper/notebook

  • Paper & envelopes & stamps to write home

  • A flashlight with good batteries 
    o Bible with camper's name in it

  • Camera (optional)

  • Small backpack (optional)

  • Additional permission slip if purchasing horse ride

  • Water bottle (or purchase one at canteen)

Sports Camps

  • Athletic clothing & footwear appropriate to the sport

  • Soccer players- shin guards, soccer ball with your name on it

  • Basketball players- regulation size BB with your name on it

Horse Camps

  • Signed special permission slip

  • Long pants for each day

  • Sturdy boots or shoes

  • Some type of hat

Wilderness Trip Camp

  • Signed special permission slip

  • Hiking shoes or boots

  • A pair of shoes to throw away at the end- after caving & rafting, they'll be TOAST!

  • Day backpack for hikes

  • Sleeping pad

  • Some type of hat

  • Water bottle

 

Do not bring: Explosives, fireworks, matches, lighters, knives, personal stereos/radios, TVs, magazines, comic books, pagers, cell phones, etc. We want the experience of camp to be very positive and safe. Leaving these items at home will help eliminate some distractions.
